In this state, the Porcupal cannot receive any attack that involves physical contact from the Kongs; however, water fruits, [[barrel]]s or any other throwable objects can put an end to them even when lit by fire. If the Porcupal does not get defeated while so, its flames will eventually go out, and the Kongs finally have a chance to [[Barrel Roll (move)|roll]] into or [[stomp]] onto the Porcupal to defeat it. [[Rambi the Rhino]] can also destroy Porcupals, but only once they put out their flames, as Rambi is vulnerable to fire or any other source of lightning, such as [[Blue Hootz]].
