| '''Poochy Ain't Stupid''' is the Extra Stage of [[World 1 (Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island)|World 1]] in the game ''[[Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island]]'' and its remake ''[[Yoshi's Island: Super Mario Advance 3]]''. It is unlocked by obtaining a total score of 800 points in the other levels of World 1. The whole level centers around [[Poochy]], and introduces a few new enemies not otherwise encountered in World 1. Like every other Extra Stage, this level's playable [[Yoshi (species)|Yoshi]] is the [[Yoshi|green Yoshi]].

| | '''Poochy Ain't Stupid''' is a secret level in ''Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island''. It was the first "extra" level, and the WHOLE level revolved around the dog, [[Poochy]]. When yoshi first start the level, then bats will be flying all over the place trying to harm yoshi. Getting to the lava part of this level, the screen will still be moving. Yoshi will need to face left, so poochy will come running your way. There will then be a ? cloud containing some stars. On the next part, one will have to jump up, as poochy will go through a hole that they both cant fit through. There will be another cloud, and on the lava will be a flower. After going through that, then there will be a pit of lava with another cloud hovering over it. There will then be another pit with another flower. There will then be a bullet bill blaster, yoshi must jump on it to get up to the ledge above. Yoshi will cross paths with a fire creature jumping up and down. Avoid it, and go onto the ground. Avoid or eat the bats, and advance. After up there, get the 2 red coins, and go forward. There will be a giant spike crane. Jump up to get the 2 red coins under that, then 2 last ? clouds shall appear. Poochy will fall down the ledge. The player should not stay on poochy, and they should flutter collecting the red coins. After that, go thhrough the ring. |

| The player starts off in a cave area next to a [[Winged Cloud]], if they go to the right some [[Fang]]s will spawn and the screen will start autoscrolling. Not long after the screen starts scrolling there will be a lava pit that can only be crossed by using [[Poochy]], who will be used for the rest of the level. When the player encounters the [[Bullet Bill]] they will need to jump up onto the platform and then drop down and land on Poochy who will then continue to ferry the player over the lava. After this, there will be a section with lots of Fangs and [[Tap-Tap]]s, and after this will be another lava section that has a Spiked Ball rotating above it. After this lava segment, the player must blindly drop down and [[Flutter Jump]] to the [[Goal Ring]].

| In the SNES version, the player cannot land on a bonus slot to play the [[Bonus Challenge]] on the Goal Ring on this level. The wheel will stay on a win slot for as long as two seconds before advancing slots and less than a half second on a blue dot.
