Each of them has two beady green eyes and a star on its belly. Plurps are first seen in [[Bianco Hills]], where they fly around aimlessly and drop splotches of [[goop]] whenever they get near [[Mario]]. They later appear in [[The Goopy Inferno|Episode 3]] of [[Pianta Village]], where they drop [[burning goop]]. Plurps can be defeated by [[jump]]ing on them or by spraying them to the ground with [[F.L.U.D.D.|FLUDD]]. Each spray causes a Plurp to release several [[coin]]s and eventually drop a [[1-Up Mushroom]].

A variety of this enemy called [[Cluckboom]]s appears in ''[[Super Mario Galaxy]]'' and ''[[Super Mario Galaxy 2]]''. They behave similarly but drop explosive [[bomb]]s instead of goop.
