In the level there are [[Mini-Necky]]s and [[Zinger]]s. This level also has a lot of pegs going around quickly. After exploring a portion of the planet, the [[Kong]]s and Xananab caught up with [[King K. Rool]], and he challenged them to a battle. After defeating him, he still doesn't give up the [[Crystal Banana]]; instead, he uses the remaining Crystal Banana to power up to a large size. After defeating King K. Rool a second time, he will give up the final Crystal Banana.

The name is likely derived from the term [[Wikipedia: Plantain|plantain]], which in itself is a type of banana.
