The Planet Cup in Mario Tennis for the Nintendo 64 and Mario Power Tennis is the final cup of the Star Tournaments, which is unlocked by completing the Moonlight Cup. Its difficulty is comparable to the Star Cup and the Pro difficulty computer players, although players and opponents hit stronger due to the star rank. The tournament takes place in the grass court in Mario Tennis and the similar Peach Dome Grass Court during the day. The first matches have 3 sets and 2 games, while the second and last match has 5 sets. When players clear the Planet Cup, the player unlocks a new level of difficulty for the AI, the Ace difficulty. In Mario Tennis, if players complete the Planet Cup with all characters, they can set the CPU's difficulty to Ace in Exhibition mode.
