The '''Plane Glider''' is an unlockable glider introduced in ''[[Mario Kart 8]]''. It offers no stat boosts and is statistically identical to the [[Super Glider]], [[Wario Wing]], [[Waddle Wing]], [[Gold Glider]], and [[Paper Glider]]. The glider is shaped like a white shoulder-winged monoplane, decorated with the driver’s emblem on the edges of the wings.

In ''[[Mario Kart 8 Deluxe]]'' it is available from the start. CPU [[Baby Peach]], [[Baby Daisy]], and [[Cat Mario|Cat Peach]] occasionally use this glider whenever they are using the [[Standard Bike]].

The coloration and design of the glider bear a resemblance to the [[Toad Express]] from ''[[Super Mario Sunshine]]''.

Although the Plane Glider itself is absent in ''[[Mario Kart Tour]]'', two variants of it named the  [[Stealth Glider]] and [[Golden Glider]] were introduced in the [[Winter Tour (2023)|2023 Winter Tour]] and the [[Spring Tour]] respectively.
