They have tongues almost as long as a Yoshi's, but instead of making eggs, they devour and use the prey for nutrients vital to taking root. If anything escapes the maw of a Piranha Pest, the prey is shrunk temporarily. The only known way of defeating a Piranha Pest is by shooting it with an egg. |
