Each player picks a ball out of five that they think will reach the bottom first. After the players have chosen their balls, the balls roll down the hill. If a ball gets stuck in a hole, that player has to shake {{button|wii|wiimote}} to escape. Along the way, there are also [[mushroom]]s and rotating blocks, off which the players bounce. The player whose ball reaches the finish line first wins.

Players run onto a podium in different spots, depending on their rankings. The player who finished last goes to a corner, disappointed. In the [[Mario Party 9#Step It Up|Step It Up]] version of this minigame, the podium has only one block.
