Pianta Village is the ancestral home of the Piantas on Isle Delfino in Super Mario Sunshine. It is run by the Pianta mayor and appears to be built on a giant tree. Players can get a small glimpse of Noki Bay if the player climbs to the top of the large palm tree in the center of the village, or the top of the tree that Il Piantissimo's finish line is on. As such, Pianta Village is the only location where Noki Bay can be seen from the outside.

In order for Mario to travel to Pianta Village, he will need to have the Rocket Nozzle, which is obtainable in Delfino Plaza after at least thirty Shine Sprites have been collected. The red Warp Pipe on top of the Shine Gate leads to Pianta Village. However, it can be reached by using Triple Jumps, Spin Jumps, or Somersaults with a Wall Jump and the Hover Nozzle from the Shine Gate as early as the first visit to Delfino Plaza, although Episode 5 will be impossible to complete in the intended way until Yoshi is unlocked, and the short cutscene involving entering the pipe may not play. It is notably the only area without a boss battle in the game.
Pianta Village is the ancestral home of the Piantas on Isle Delfino in Super Mario Sunshine. It's built in a huge crater in the branches of a titanic palm tree to protect it from predators. It is run by the Pianta Village Mayor. The village's underside is composed of giant, bouncy mushrooms. The underside's ceiling is made of bamboo platforms, mesh, and catwalks. Wind Duppies are also lurking down there. It's very tricky, because one slip up and Mario falls into the abyss below. A secret area is found in the underside, which is covered with yellow Goop. Mario has to bring a Yoshi here to get the Goop off.
Surprisingly, Piantas (all of which are Chucksters) live in the secret area of the underside.

This level is unique in that the time changes between day and night. Odd-numbered episodes take place at night, while even-numbered episodes are during the day. The Piantas are awaiting the Fluff Festival, which draws nearer each episode, and finally takes place in Episode 8.

Pianta Village is built on a huge crater in the branches of a titanic palm tree to protect it from predators; in fact, the highest point on Isle Delfino that Mario can reach is located in this area, atop one of the giant trees. The village is also home to another special tree, which bears all the fruits (except the Pepper) of Isle Delfino. The player will start at the end of a bridge, and crossing it will lead into the village itself. During some episodes, Wind Spirits will appear as Mario crosses. The village consists of many square structures and giant Mushroom Platforms. There are many ledges within the village and a large tree is growing out of the center. In the back of the village is a large spa.

The village's underside is composed of more mushrooms, including a Jump Mushroom. The ceiling in this area is made of bamboo platforms, bamboo screens, and catwalks. Wind Spirits are also lurking down there, and will attempt to attack Mario if he is nearby.
Mario starts out on a ledge of the crater, to get to the village Mario must cross a bamboo bridge or jump off onto the mushrooms. On the village side of the bridge is a Bees' nest, and sometimes a Yoshi Egg.

This level is unique in that the time changes between day and night. Odd-numbered episodes take place at night, while even-numbered episodes are during the day.
In order for Mario to travel to Pianta Village, he will need the Rocket Nozzle and 30 Shine Sprites.

Trivia
*This area can be entered during the flood in Delfino Plaza if the player exploits good platforming on the Shine Gate. This makes it one of the two only locations reachable during this event (the other being Sirena Beach).
*There is a tree that has all the fruits growing on it.
*An alternate version of the Pianta Village soundtrack featuring slightly different instrumentation (known as the Pianta Village Nighttime theme) exists in the game's coding.
<br clear=all>
*The game's files contain an unused variation of the Pianta Hot Springs theme with drums, which play while riding a Yoshi.
Isle Delfino
*This is one of only two worlds in the game with a pit. The other, Bianco Hills, has a small area at the northwestern corner of the map where there is a platform in the middle of a lake; a player who falls into the water in this lake will instantly lose a life. Pianta Village is different in that the entire village is suspended by three giant trees over a giant bottomless pit.
