The player must have Link draw a path for his Boomerang to hit one or both of the Shock Switches. Switches that the path overlaps with will have a spark over them, but note the boomerang is a little wider than the paths. Shock Switches shut off between throws of the Boomerang, therefore all switches must be affected in one throw. The Boomerang will return to Link if it reaches the end of the path or hits a wall, and cannot activate Shock Switches while returning. The player can throw the Boomerang any number of times, but the travel time from the initial throw and return is lost. The microgame is completed once the last Shock Switch is activated. An animation of a Treasure Chest appearing plays out with the accompanying jingle, but this is optional. Note that paths can be started at any point. The Boomerang flies directly to the start of the path and then starts moving along it.
The player must have Toon Link draw a path for his Boomerang to hit one or both of the Shock Switches.
