They look like bipedal penguins with menacing beaks and bandanas tied around their heads.

In the {{wp|Western world|Western}} version, penguins carry large black balls with handles (also called "insanity bombs"),<ref name=NP/> which they throw at [[Wario]] if he gets in their range; in the Japanese version, penguins hold on to beer mugs, and they instead try to splash alcohol on him.
