'''Pata Mario''' (パタマリオ) is an original transformation that appears in chapter 12 of ''[[Super Mario-kun]]'' [[Super Mario-kun Volume 5|volume 5]]. The name is derived from「パタパタ」(''Patapata''), the Japanese name of [[Koopa Paratroopa]]s and a term for fluttering.

While fighting [[Koopa 3]]'s [[Koopa Troop|troops]], Mario tackles a Koopa Paratroopa, stealing his wings and becoming the winged Pata Mario. With the power of [[Fly|flight]], Mario uses it to his advantage to run over the enemies, until he gets attacked by two [[Fire Snake]]s, losing the wings.
