It shares its stats with the [[Cloud Glider]], [[Peach Parasol (glider)|Peach Parasol]], [[Bowser Kite]], [[Parafoil]], [[MKTV Parafoil]], and [[Hylian Kite]]. In ''Mario Kart 8 Deluxe'', a CPU ''Breath of the Wild''-style [[Link]] uses this glider with the [[Flame Rider]] [[bike]] and [[Monster (tire)|Monster]] tires, while a CPU [[Lakitu]] uses it with the [[Biddybuggy]].

The Parachute returns in ''[[Mario Kart Tour]]'', classified as a Normal glider. It has been redesigned, this time featuring a rainbow-colored color scheme. The Parachute provides better chances of getting [[Blooper]]s from [[Item Box]]es while increasing the number of points earned for landing hits with Bloopers. 

The game introduces four variants of the glider: the [[Shell Parachute]], [[Royal Parachute]], [[Fireworks Parachute]], and [[Bullet Bill Parachute]]. While the former is classified as a Super glider, the latter three are classified as High-End gliders.
