Outside drifting

Outside drifting, outward drifting and outward-drifting are commonly used terms to classify vehicles stemming from the lines taken by the following vehicle classes of the Mario Kart series when they drift:

• Standard bikes
• Karts
• ATVs

Those terms are usually contrasted with the commonly used inside drifting, inward drifting and inward-drifting terms which stem from the lines taken by sport bikes when they commit to the turn instead of actually drifting.
