'''Octolots''' are [[List of enemies|enemies]] that appear in ''[[Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars]]'' and [[Super Mario RPG (Nintendo Switch)|its remake]]. They are first encountered in the [[Forest Maze]]. Octolots can fly by holding onto two bat-winged [[Koopa Paratroopa|Paratroopa]] shells via long poles (although the Monster List entry in the Switch remake claims they are not Paratroopa shells). It is unknown whether the shells are a part of the creature itself or a separate entity entirely as they widen, akin to the creature's mouth, when spells are cast. They have very powerful magical attacks, much like their stronger relatives, [[Octovader]]s. [[Amanita]]s often accompany Octolots in battle.
