| '''Neko Parents''' are the mothers<ref>{{cite|author=Play Nintendo|date=May 6, 2023|url=https://youtu.be/W2Z-oGuT88A?t=135|title=Mario’s Cat-Tastic Day 💪 <nowiki>| All about Cat Mario Ep 1 |</nowiki> @playnintendo|publisher=YouTube|accessdate=July 12, 2024}}</ref> of calico [[kitten]]s in the ''Bowser's Fury'' campaign of ''[[Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury]]''. Three different Neko Parents appear throughout [[Lake Lapcat]], with one being found near each of the three [[Giga Bell]]s. When [[Mario]] first encounters one, she is shown crying because her kittens have gone missing. The Neko Parent by the Lakeside Giga Bell has one kitten, the Neko Parent by the Ruins Giga Bell has three, and the Neko Parent by the Wasteland Giga Bell has five. Similarly to the mission "[[Li'l Penguin Lost]]" in ''[[Super Mario 64]]'', Mario must find the calico kittens within the Neko Parent's region and carry each one back to her. A counter over the Neko Parent's head signifies how many kittens are left to be returned. For each kitten other than the last that is returned to its Neko Parent, Mario earns three [[coin]]s, and after returning the last kitten, he earns a [[Cat Shine]] as a reward. Afterwards, the Neko Parent can be seen smiling and purring with her kittens instead of crying. If Mario leaves the area and returns, both the Neko Parent and her kittens will disappear, except for the group by the Wasteland Giga Bell, which will remain permanently. If Mario or [[Bowser Jr.]] attack a Neko Parent, she does not take damage, and confetti appears instead.

| Like their kittens, Neko Parents become [[Disaster Neko|corrupted]] while [[Fury Bowser]] is active, and attack Mario if he approaches them.
| | '''Calico cat parents''' are the parents of the calico [[kitten]]s found in [[Lake Lapcat]] in ''[[Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury#Bowser's Fury|Bowser's Fury]]''. Three different parents appear in the game, each one found near each of the three [[Giga Bell]]s. When [[Mario]] first encounters one, it is seen crying due to its kittens having gone missing. Similar to the mission "[[Li'l Penguin Lost]]" in ''[[Super Mario 64]]'', Mario is required to return the calico kittens to their respective parents (found within the same region) by carrying them back to them. For each kitten other than the last that is returned to its parent, Mario earns three coins, and after returning the last kitten, Mario earns a [[Cat Shine]]. From then on, the parent can be seen smiling and purring instead of crying. The parent by the Lakeside Giga Bell has one kitten, the parent by the Ruins Giga Bell has three, and the parent by the Wasteland Giga Bell has five. |

| The color scheme of the [[Calico Parafoil]] in ''[[Mario Kart Tour]]'' is similar to the colors of the Neko Parents.
| | Like the kittens, while [[Fury Bowser]] is active, calico cat parents turn [[Fury Cat|darker]] and attack Mario. |
