Neckys are enemies in ''Donkey Kong Country''. They have one of two behaviors: throwing coconuts while perched or flying left or right continuously. Neckys can be defeated from either being [[stomp]]ed or being hit by a [[barrel]]. The coconut-throwing type can also be defeated from being rolled into. Their coconuts can damage the [[Kong]]s. The flying Neckys are often required to cross gaps or to enter a [[Bonus Barrel]], such as the ones at the start of [[Tree Top Town]] and [[Snow Barrel Blast]]. There are two Necky bosses, [[Master Necky]] and [[Master Necky Snr.]], both only ever seen by their head.

Neckys are enemies in ''[[Donkey Kong Land]]''. Only the perched, nut-throwing type is ever encountered, in both [[Congo Carnage]] and [[Pot Hole Panic (Donkey Kong Land)|Pot Hole Panic]]. Their defeat sprites resemble upside-down flying sprites.

Buzzards<ref>{{cite|author="Help" screen|title=''[[Donkey Kong Country Barrel Maze]]''|quote=BUZZARD: Flies above and tries to cause damage by dropping coconuts on your barrel.}}</ref> are enemies in ''[[Donkey Kong Country Barrel Maze]]''. They appear in levels 3, 8, and 9. Buzzards fly above the playable barrel, attempting to drop coconuts on it. If the barrel gets hit by a Buzzard's coconut, it loses some energy.

Although Neckys do not return in ''[[DK: King of Swing]]'', the second boss, [[Fire Necky]], is a type of Necky.

Neckys are obstacles in ''[[Donkey Kong Barrel Blast]]''. They appear in [[Mt. Dynamite]], [[Cranky's Temple]], and [[Temple Heights]]. If a racer hits into a Necky, it latches on them, slowing them down. A Necky can be defeated by one hit, and they help a racer perform [[Wild Move]] combos.
