The level begins with four Warp Doors. Taking the first one leads to an area with Big Spinies and a P Switch. The second leads to an elevated door over the start of the level. The fourth one leads to a star-shaped area with Spike Tops. Only the third one is the correct one, and it leads to an area with a big Buzzy Beetle and a P Switch. Hitting it will send Mario into a pool of trampolines; he must grab one and use it to bounce up a high ledge. Mario must then kick a Koopa Troopa shell into a ? Block to reveal a beanstalk, climb it, then bounce off of a cannonball to reach a pool of Wigglers. From there, Mario must utilize a flying Donut Block and some Para-Beetles to reach a warp pipe and another set of four Warp Doors. Door number five takes Mario to three big Bowsers, door number seven takes him to some Boo Buddies, and door number eight takes him to a room with two Magikoopas. Only the sixth door helps Mario continue, taking him to a room where he must spin jump across many Rotating Blocks and ride a Lava Lift to a Spiny Shell. Mario must then run across a segment of Rotating Blocks and avoid Big Thwomps, then quickly jump across a segment of falling platforms and Para-Beetles to reach another warp pipe leading directly to the Giant Gate.
