'''Mystic Forest''' is a main [[world]] that [[Mario]] chases [[Donkey Kong]] through in ''[[Mario vs. Donkey Kong]]'' and its [[Nintendo Switch]] [[Reissue#Remakes|remake]] [[Mario vs. Donkey Kong (Nintendo Switch)|of the same name]]. It is the fifth main world in ''Mario vs. Donkey Kong'' for the [[Game Boy Advance]] and the seventh main world in ''Mario vs. Donkey Kong'' for the Switch. This world is set in a forest at dusk, and it contains a number of gimmicks like [[Direction Switch]]es and [[Bob-omb Block]]s, in addition to new enemies like [[Bat (Mario vs. Donkey Kong)|Bat]]s and [[Spear Guy]]s. In ''Mario vs. Donkey Kong'' for the Game Boy Advance only, [[Cannon]]s and [[Bob-omb]]s debut in this world, as they debut much earlier in [[Merry Mini-Land]] in ''Mario vs. Donkey Kong'' for the Switch.

A few differences are present in this world in ''Mario vs. Donkey Kong'' for the Switch, including alteration of some [[Color Block]] formations and the level select's theme color being changed from cyan to peach to differentiate from [[Slippery Summit]]'s level select menu.

Exclusively in the [[Nintendo Switch]] version of ''[[Mario vs. Donkey Kong (Nintendo Switch)|Mario vs. Donkey Kong]]'' is a bonus level that appears after completing enough levels in this world. The layout features [[Hammer]]s and several [[Rock (Mario vs. Donkey Kong series)|rock]]s that block off the chest and some [[1-Up Mushroom]]s, requiring the player to use the Hammers to excavate the entire level for bonuses. Like in most bonus levels, the player needs to catch the [[flying key]] and bring it to the chest to successfully complete it, but must also clear the way for the chest first using the Hammers before doing so.
