Each book is shaped like a [[Game Boy]], featuring a "screen" hosting a moving-parts water game and two rubber buttons used to play the water game. Inside are a series of simple puzzles typical of a children's game book, such as maze games and spot the differences. Both books also have a sidequest challenging the reader to find a number of hidden items scattered through the pages.
