A Muth is a mammoth enemy in Super Paper Mario that appears only in Chapter 5-1: Downtown of Crag in Land of the Cragnons. These burly animals have 100 HP and they're worth lots of points just for being so strong. These enemies occasionally give players a head start while preparing to charge at Mario, Luigi, Peach, and Bowser. A good strategy is to use Bowser's Fire Breath or use Boomer or Cudge repeatedly. They also have a stronger version called Mega Muths and even stronger versions called Dark Muths are found in the Flopside Pit of 100 Trials. They sometimes drop Bone-In Cuts and is the only one to get them.

Muths are brown mammoth enemies in Super Paper Mario that appear only in Chapter 5-1: Downtown of Crag in the Land of the Cragnons. Muths have 100 HP and 5 attack points, and are worth a large amount of points for their size and strength. Muths normally appear peaceful and walk along at a slow pace, but upon being attacked or noticing Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, or Bowser, they will grow angered, beginning to spin their trunk and stomping in place before charging for a certain distance.

Their name comes from the Woolly Mammoth, a hairy, elephant-like mammal that lived in prehistoric eras.

Muths have high power and are encountered in a large quantity, but they move slowly, and the time they take to charge gives the heroes a head-start to avoid their attack. Unlike most walking enemies, Muths can also turn around on their own even without colliding with a wall or another enemy, and have a unique animation for this in which their trunk and body flip to face the other direction, which work to the player's advantage by providing more time to avoid them. In addition, their size and slow movement alongside their large number and HP make them useful enemies to jump on and perform Stylish combos for points.

A stronger variant, called Mega Muths, can be found in Castle Bleck Inner Sanctum, and an even stronger variant called Dark Muths are found in the Flopside Pit of 100 Trials. They sometimes drop Bone-In Cuts; defeating them is the only way to acquire this item. Muths are also mentioned in the Catch Card description for Buzzy Beetles, stating that a Muth stampede would likely not flatten a Buzzy Beetle.
