They are used by [[Valentina]] to guard the castle of [[Nimbus Land]]. These jellyfish can use powerful ice attacks such as [[Blizzard (Super Mario RPG)|Blizzard]] and [[Crystal (move)|Crystal]], and can drop the powerful [[Ice Bomb]]. Muckles are capable of countering magic attacks with their own magic, but are weak to fire attacks. They have a resistance against most status effects as well.
