'''Moon Shards in the Sand''' is the second story mission of the [[Sand Kingdom]] in ''[[Super Mario Odyssey]]''. The mission's objective is to collect five [[Moon Shard]]s in the Moe-Eye Habitat.

==Layout==
The mission begins on the Round Tower, and Mario must follow a series of [[Lift]]s on [[Track (object)|track]]s while occasionally utilizing [[Hat Launcher]]s and [[Pulse Beam]]s to destroy blocks. Afterwards, Mario will end up in the Moe-Eye Habitat, and he can immediately find the first Moon Shard next to a [[Moe-Eye]]. Afterwards, Mario must follow some green birds to the second Moon Shard. Mario can then ride a Lift to some pillars and follow the hidden platforms to the third Moon Shard. Mario must then fall down and clip the edge to find the fourth Moon Shard in between two cacti. The fifth and final Moon Shard can be found on a hidden platform just over some poison. Mario must then head to the other edge to claim the [[Power Moon]].
