'''Moogles''' are a species originating from the {{fandom|finalfantasy|Final Fantasy series|''Final Fantasy'' series}} made by [[Square Enix]]. They have appeared in almost all ''Final Fantasy'' games and have since become a series mascot. The first appearance of a Moogle in the [[Super Mario (franchise)|''Super Mario'' franchise]] is in ''[[Mario Hoops 3-on-3]]'', which was developed by Square Enix. In this game, a Moogle appears as one of five playable characters from the ''Final Fantasy'' series, the others being [[Ninja (character)|Ninja]], [[Black Mage]], [[White Mage]], and [[Cactuar]]. Moogle is unlocked by earning a silver trophy in the [[Star Tourney]] on the Normal difficulty.

Moogle, along with the other ''Final Fantasy'' characters, returns in the game ''[[Mario Sports Mix]]'', where it is classified as a Tricky character (like in ''Mario Hoops 3-on-3''). It is unlocked by beating the Mushroom Cup Tournament of any sport. Moogle's power in this game is very weak, and its speed is below average, but it makes up for those weaknesses with a high technique stat. However, unlike most characters with high technique attributes, Moogle's full power throws do not have a curve added to them.

Moogle's design in the ''Super Mario'' franchise appears to be a mix between its recurring design starting from ''Final Fantasy III'' and its bigger, puffier-eared one from ''Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles''. A Moogle with a similar design, apart from differently colored wings, appears as the logo for the "Moogleworks" shop in ''Final Fantasy XIII''.

In ''[[Super Smash Bros. Ultimate]]'', a Moogle appears alongside a {{wp|Chocobo}} as a neutral, {{iw|smashwiki|primary spirit}}. They are included in the {{iw|smashwiki|Spirit Board}} for Challenger Pack 8, with their [[Spirit (Super Smash Bros. Ultimate)|spirit]] artwork taken from ''{{wp|Final Fantasy VII Remake}}''. Its representative fighter in the spirit battle is a gray [[Kirby]]. When equipped, the spirit increases a fighter's speed.
