'''Merfle''' is a supporting character in ''[[Wario Land: Shake It!]]'' In the game's introduction sequence, after the [[Shake King]] kidnaps [[Queen Merelda]] and her people, the [[Merfle]]s, the green Merfle manages to escape and, in search of someone to help them, finds [[Wario]] who accepts it in exchange for the [[Shake Dimension]]'s [[Bottomless Coin Sack|greatest treasure]]. He also requests the help of [[Captain Syrup]] who, unbeknownst to Wario, wanted the Bottomless Coin Sack for herself as a "consultation fee" from the start.

Merfle also appears in [[Aboard the Sweet Stuff]], the tutorial, telling Wario about the Boss Emblems he needs to obtain in order to reach the Shake King and how [[Merfle Barrel]]s function.

During the ending, after Wario has saved the Merfles and their queen, he happily shakes the Bottomless Coin Sack before it is taken by Captain Syrup, who explains to have held up her part of the bargain. Merfle then explains to Wario what happened, before being chased by him.
