| In the ''[[Super Mario Land (manga)|Super Mario Land]]'' manga, a group of Mekabons attempts to stop Mario in Muda Kingdom. The first one tosses its head at Mario, making him flinch and drop all of the coins that he had just collected in a bonus area. Mario quickly defeats it, but a second one tosses its head at him. [[Mekakuribō]] arrives and does the same. The two robots end up switching heads, confusing the Mekabon. A third one is stomped on as Mario leaves the area while Mekakuribō retrieves its head off-screen.
