The '''Megasparkle Goomba''' is a [[Goomba]] acting as the boss of [[World 1 (Paper Mario: Sticker Star)|World 1]] in ''[[Paper Mario: Sticker Star]]''. The boss itself is a large, flat, shiny Goomba made up of sixteen individual Goombas, with one in particular wearing a [[Royal Sticker]]. The Goombas reside at [[Goomba Fortress]], and guard the red Royal Sticker.
==History==
[[File:PMSS-Megasparkle Goomba Shot.png|thumb|250px|[[Kersti]] noticing the [[Royal Sticker]] worn by the Goomba.]]
The sixteen Goombas that form it were once normal Goombas that resided at Goomba's Fortress. When [[Bowser]] accidentally broke the [[Sticker Comet]] and scattered the six Royal Stickers across the [[Mushroom Kingdom]], the red Royal Sticker fell down to the top of the fortress. One curious Goomba grabbed it and became corrupted, sticking the Royal Sticker to his head and wearing it as a crown. The corrupted Goomba soon became the self-proclaimed boss of the Goombas and became obsessed with shiny and sparkly things. The Goomba ordered his Goombas to cause trouble in the [[World 1 (Paper Mario: Sticker Star)|grasslands]] and [[Decalburg]], as the Goombas now had power from Bowser.

When Mario and [[Kersti]] make it to the top of Goomba's Fortress, the corrupted Goomba encounters Mario and threatens to turn him into confetti. Kersti recognizes the crown as a Royal Sticker and orders him to give it back. The Goomba then reveals that Bowser gave him the order to guard the Royal Sticker and, with the Royal Sticker, he will become more powerful. The Goomba immediately orders fifteen hidden Goombas to attack Mario. At first, the Goombas attack regularly, as a group, but soon, the corrupted Goomba orders the other Goombas to merge with him to become the more powerful Megasparkle Goomba.
'''Megasparkle Goomba''' is a giant [[Goomba]] appearing as the boss of World 1 in ''[[Paper Mario: Sticker Star]]''. It is a massive Goomba that was formed by fifteen ordinary Goombas and a yellow-eyed Goomba that was corrupted by the [[Royal Sticker]]. It guards [[Goomba's Fortress]] and the red Royal Sticker. It bears a passing resemblance to the [[Goomboss|Goomba King]], albeit without the mustache.

When the battle draws near the end, the other Goombas decide that, since the corrupted Goomba had his body and mind changed by the Royal Sticker, that power was too much to handle. As a result, they leave the corrupted Goomba, stating that they prefer to be regular Goombas again. The corrupted Goomba becomes infuriated when they leave and tries to fight Mario on his own. After being easily defeated, this Goomba notices how the power of the Royal Sticker felt like a "dazzling dream" and that he was powerless without it, then disappears, leaving Mario and Kersti the Royal Sticker.
==History==
The sixteen Goombas that form it were once normal Goombas until after the explosion of the [[Sticker Comet]], when the red Royal Sticker fell down to the top of Goomba's Fortress. One Goomba grabbed it and became corrupted, sticking the Royal Sticker to its head.

In the ending parade, Megasparkle Goomba is shown as part of a float along with all the other bosses corrupted by the Royal Stickers. Megasparkle Goomba repeatedly switches between its Megasparkle Goomba form and the sixteen Goombas it consists of.
When [[Mario]] and [[Kersti]] made it to the top of Goomba's Fortress, the corrupted Goomba ordered the other Goombas to attack them. Eventually during the fight, the Goombas decided the corrupted Goomba was too much for them and left. The corrupted Goomba tried to fight on his own, but was easily beaten.

The Megasparkle Goomba has 90 [[Heart Point|HP]] and possess two powerful attacks; it can leap high into the air and come crashing down on Mario, or curl up into a tube and roll into Mario.
The Megasparkle Goomba possess a wide variety of powerful attacks. It can leap high into the air and come crashing down on Mario. Also, it can curl up into a tube, similar to the Tube curse in ''[[Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door]]''.

Like any ordinary Goomba in the game, Megasparkle Goomba can fold up into a sharp cone. This makes him unable to be stomped on with normal [[Jump]] or [[Hopslipper]] stickers. Later in the battle, Megasparkle Goomba turns around, revealing the Goombas. It can then send these Goombas, up to three at a time, flying into Mario. All of the Goombas can also jump up separately and crash down as a whole. Using an effective sticker when Megasparkle Goomba is coming apart will weaken him with double damage.

The key for beating the boss is waiting until the sixteen Goombas reveal themselves and start to flip; at this moment, Mario should either use the Scissors or Fan sticker to make all of them collapse. After doing so, the Goombas abandon their corrupted master, who is left weakened with 1 HP. Alternatively, it is possible to defeat Megasparkle Goomba without using [[Sticker#Things|Thing]]s, resulting in the same outcome, as well as a suggestion from [[Kersti]] to use a "more effective sticker" next time.<ref>Fatguy703 (October 23, 2016) "[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kQKOmaKHnPs&t=35s Paper Mario: Sticker Star - Perfect Megasparkle Goomba [No Infinijumps or Things<nowiki>]</nowiki>]". Like any ordinary Goomba in ''Sticker Star'', Megasparkle Goomba can fold up into a paper plane standing upright. This makes him unable to be stomped on with normal [[Jump]] or Hopslipper stickers. Finally, he can turn around to reveal the ordinary Goombas. Megasparkle Goomba can then send these Goombas, up to three at a time, flying into Mario. All of the Goombas can also jump up separately and crash down as a whole. Using an effective sticker when Megasparkle Goomba is coming apart will cause damage and weaken him, making him take double damage.

==Trivia==
The Megasparkle Goomba is made up of sixteen Goombas, fifteen ordinary Goombas and one corrupt Goomba in possession of the red Royal Sticker. This Goomba has yellow eyes and a red crown that perfectly fits his head. He forms the left tooth of the Megasparkle Goomba. The Megasparkle Goomba itself is large, with yellow eyes, on flat, shiny paper, and itself lacks the crown.

*The uncombined form of Megasparkle Goomba looked slightly different in early screenshots. He was also called "Boss Goomba".
*This boss, alongside [[Mizzter Blizzard]], are the only 2 bosses in the game to speak using full sentences rather than just a simple line, like [[Tower Power Pokey]], [[Gooper Blooper]], and [[Petey Piranha]].
*Megasparkle Goomba shares some similarities with [[Boolossus]] for both are made up of a group of the same enemies and both have yellow eyes.
