Mega Mario also has the ability to defeat almost all of the enemies in the game or squash any of the game's bosses in one hit, including [[Bowser]] in any of his forms. Mega Mario can also walk through [[Mega Unagi]]s and [[Skewer]]s. If Mega Mario falls into a [[pit]], the purple toxic water or lava, or if [[Time Limit|time]] runs out, he can still lose a life. However, in Mega form, they can ground pound to create a shockwave that hits nearby blocks and enemies. The heroes have scowling expressions in their Mega forms, except for Toad, as he only makes a frowning expression instead. Like in ''New Super Mario Bros.'' and ''New Super Mario Bros. 2'', players revert to their Super form regardless of what power-up they had prior to obtaining the Mega Mushroom. Entering a [[Warp Box]] automatically reverts the player back to their Super form.
