| |
| In New Super Mario Bros., jumping on a Super Dry Bones merely stuns it for a second, during which it head shakes and makes a noise. Super Dry Bones can only be dismantled with a Ground Pound; the collapsing noise they make when dismantled is low-pitched, similarly to Dry Bowser's. After about five seconds, the Super Dry Bones comes back together. Mini Mario cannot dismantle a Super Dry Bones, and they are unaffected by fireballs.
| |
|
| |
|
| ====New Super Mario Bros. Wii====
| | Super Dry Bones are usually enclosed in small places, where they can cause Mario no harm. Sometimes, a Super Dry Bones will be on a treadmill, where he can quickly walk towards Mario to attack him. In New Super Mario Bros. Wii, they can be defeated if frozen with Ice Mario and then ground pounded (before thawing), just as Dry Bones can. However, this is extremely hard, as it thaws very quickly. Also in the sequel, it gains a deeper tone. |
| Big Dry Bones in New Super Mario Bros. Wii, unlike in New Super Mario Bros., make a rattling sound when jumped on as opposed to the sound that normally plays when stomping on an enemy. Freezing them with iceballs has little effect, as they thaw the instant they are frozen. They are also defeated upon touching lava.
| |
|
| |
|
| ====New Super Mario Bros. 2====
| | Super Dry Bones act the same as normal Dry Bones, except Mario must do a Ground Pound over the undead creature to dismantle it. However, about five seconds later, the Super Dry Bones comes back together again. Mini Mario can not dismantle them at all which can be trouble if the player is trying to get to World 7. |

| |
| Big Dry Bones in New Super Mario Bros. 2 are found in some towers and castles, as well as World 6-A.
| |
|
| |
|
| ====New Super Mario Bros. U / New Super Luigi U / New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe====
| | Super Dry Bones may be the skeletons of Gargantua Koopa Troopas, or Ankoopas. |
| Big Dry Bones appear in New Super Mario Bros. U, New Super Luigi U and New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe. However, they are no longer affected by lava. In a secret room in Iggy's Volcanic Castle, the player must bounce off some Big Dry Bones that are walking on lava to access a Star Coin.
| | <br clear=all> |
| | |
| ====Super Mario Maker series====
| |
| Big Dry Bones also appear in Super Mario Maker, Super Mario Maker for Nintendo 3DS and Super Mario Maker 2. Players can enlarge a standard Dry Bones with a Super Mushroom, which ends with the creation of a Big Dry Bones. In the Super Mario World style, Big Dry Bones can throw large bones, like their smaller counterparts.
| |
| | |
| In these games, the player can attack Big Dry Bones the same way as in past titles; when riding a Yoshi or Spin Jumping, the player can cause a Big Dry Bones to crumble with a simple stomp. If given wings to become a Big Parabones, it will not lose them unless it's crumbled.

| ===Mario Party series===
| |
| ====Mario Party: Island Tour====
| |
| Big Dry Bones appear on the third and fourth Star Stages of the Star-Crossed Skyway board in Mario Party: Island Tour. They give out seven Mini Ztars.
| |
| | |
| ====Mario Party: Star Rush====
| |
| A Mega Dry Bones appears as a boss in Mario Party: Star Rush, where he is fought in the minigame, Mega Dry Bones's Femur Fever. Players need to Ground Pound the platform they are standing on to launch a cannonball at him. Each Ground Pound lights up one light out of three. If all three are filled, a cannonball is launched. If the Ground Pound is done at the peak of their jump, then two lights are lit up instead of just one. The more allies on a player's team, the faster they can launch cannonballs. Mega Dry Bones can also attack by throwing a bone that goes through each players' platforms in a straight line starting at either Player 4 or at Player 1. When Mega Dry Bones' health bar goes past the halfway mark, the bones he throws are now on fire and he attacks more frequently.
