If [[Mario]] steps on the wrong trigger panel in the [[Mario's castle]] level, a giant fist trap in the resemblance of [[Wario]]'s glove comes crashing down, pounding the floor with spiked brass knuckles at immense speed (although it is slower on [[Easy Mode]]). Mario has to get past three of these traps in total in order to reach Wario and rid him from Mario's castle.

In the [[Super Mario (Kodansha manga)|Kodansha manga]], a mechanical fist is depicted as the literal fist of a giant-sized Wario.
