U]]'' and ''[[New Super Luigi U]]''. It is attached to [[Bowser's Airship]], and it is most likely operated by [[Bowser Jr.]]

In the intro of New Super Mario Bros. U and New Super Luigi U, Bowser's Airship stretches the Mecha Hand into [[Peach's Castle]] while everyone is having a tea party. It moves [[Princess Peach]] out of the way, then crushes [[Mario]], [[Luigi]], [[Yellow Toad and Blue Toad|Yellow Toad]], and [[Yellow Toad and Blue Toad|Blue Toad]]. Finally, it grabs the four playable characters, winds up, and throws them all the way to [[Acorn Plains]]. In New Super Luigi U, Mario is not a playable character and is not at the tea party. Both games' renditions in ''[[New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe]]'' replace one of the Toads with [[Toadette]].

In [[The Mighty Cannonship]] ([[All Aboard!]] in ''New Super Luigi U''), a cutscene after the Bowser Jr. boss battle has the Mecha Hand attempt to grab the player(s), though they jump out of the [[airship]]. 

When the player reaches [[Boarding the Airship]] ([[Bowser Jr. Showdown]]  in ''New Super Luigi U'') for the first time, in which case the level lacks its "node" on the world map, Bowser's Airship lowers in to confront the characters and brings out the Mecha Hand. This cutscene forces the player into the level. In the level, the Airship serves as a ceiling and the Mecha Hand lurks in a layer in front of it. The Mecha Hand slams the ground at certain intervals, acting similarly to the [[Pillar]]s from ''[[Super Mario World]]''. Later in the level, it punches the ground instead. This destroys the terrain as it drops, similarly to [[Incoming Chomp]]s from ''[[Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island]]''. Once the level reaches the portion taking place in the Airship, the Mecha Hand leaves the screen. The boss fight against Bowser Jr. takes place high above the ship, and ends with everyone falling back onto it. In the following cutscene, Bowser Jr. directs the Mecha Hand to attack the player(s). However, the player(s) run(s) away, causing the hand to punch and destroy the airship.

===''Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga + Bowser's Minions''===
In ''[[Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga + Bowser's Minions]]'', the Mecha Hand is used to bring Luigi to the [[Koopa Cruiser]], replacing a generic-looking claw in the original ''[[Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga]]''.

===''Mario Tennis Aces''===
A smaller variant of the Mecha Hand appears as one of the attachments to the [[Junior Clown Car]] in ''[[Mario Tennis Aces]]''. Bowser Jr. uses it as part of his [[Special Shot (Mario Tennis Aces)|Special Shot]].

===LEGO ''Super Mario''===
The [[LEGO Super Mario|LEGO ''Super Mario'']] "Bowser's Airship" expansion set contains a Mecha Hand mounted on one of the ship's flagpoles.
