| ==Dupree==
| |
| Dupree is a blue, disco-diva wannabe Doogan-like creature with a pink afro most noted for talking with a French accent. It is never revealed weather his accent is real, or if he is faking it to flirt with the ladies. He appeares often in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door. He first appeares trying to form a romantic relationship with Goombella in Petalburg. He is secondly seen in Boggly Woods, claiming he came to warn Mario and Goombella about the imminent arrival of the Shadow Sirens. This is done much to the attractive Goombella's disgust. She believes him to he following her around. When Mario tells her he doesn't think this is why he keeps being seen by them (probably to calm her down), Goombella is insulted. From then on continues to reappear in the towns that Mario visites. He get accused of flirting with the wife of the Twilight Town shopkeeper. What really happened was he was turned into a pig and the wife thought he was her husband. When Dupree turns back to his original self, a huge altercation ensues. He makes a pass at the Bob-omb owner of Fahr Outpost's Inn as well. All of women he flirtes with dislike him. The Inn Keeper even goes as far as to throw him out of her Inn into the snow. After the Shadow Queen is defeated he goes to Keelhaul Key and can be found standing on the dock.

| As the game goes on, Goombella continues to express her distaste for him, but she has to admit that she is impressed by how he always seems to know where Mario and company are going to be, and how he always gets there ahead of them. For said reason, it is possible he may be stalking Goombella.

| If the player discovers Jabble, he can join Mario and the other Punis in their fight to rescue their home. It is unknown what he does, though, whether it's shielding, attacking, or absolutely nothing.
