"'''Mama Mia Mario'''" is the eleventh live-action segment of ''[[The Super Mario Bros. Super Show!]]'' Its corresponding animated episode is "[[The Great BMX Race]]." The copyrighted title for the episode in the {{wp|United States Copyright Office}} is "'''Mama mia, Mario'''". This segment is notable for being the only live-action segment to not have a guest star in it; [[Mama Mario]] was played by [[Lou Albano]], while [[Aunt Luigeena]] was portrayed by [[Danny Wells]], both also acting as [[Mario]] and [[Luigi]] respectively.

==Plot synopsis==
In [[Super Mario Bros. Plumbing|Mario Brothers Plumbing]], [[Luigi]] is in the midst of playing his [[Nintendo Entertainment System]] as [[Mario]] eats some pizza nearby. Asking Mario if he is going to eat all his pizza, Luigi gets the response from Mario that he is saving some room for supper and gives Luigi a small piece of pizza. As Mario continues to eat, Luigi begins to say that what they are doing is great, simply relaxing without anyone to boss them around or tell them what to do.

Luigi eventually stops his ranting when the phone begins to ring; getting up, Luigi begins to approach the ringing telephone, which is underneath a mold-covered pizza. Moving the germ-infested pizza, Luigi answers the phone and soon finds himself bombarded by a rapidly speaking person on the other end.

Hearing Luigi arguing with whoever is on the phone, Mario asks if the caller is complaining about the hot water heater that blew up last week. Eventually, Luigi, after agreeing to something, hangs up the phone and tells Mario that the call was not about the hot water heater; it is worse than that, [[Mama Mario]] is coming for a visit. At the sound of this, Mario becomes horrified and tells Luigi that he and Mario should quickly clean-up the apartment and scatter some vegetables around the place.

After cleaning the apartment in a panic and putting a large number of objects in a garbage can, Mario and Luigi hear their doorbell ring. As Mama Mario begins to yell for Mario and Luigi to open the door, Mario leaves to dump the garbage he has collected somewhere as Luigi goes to open the door. Rushing upstairs, Luigi opens the door, only to be whacked by Mama Mario's purse and bombarded with insults by Mama Mario, who says Luigi should have opened the door quicker.

After being scolded by Mama Mario, Luigi is forced to help her clean the floor of Mario Brothers Plumbing. As Luigi continues to scrub the floor of the apartment, the doorbell rings. Asking who is at the door, Mama Mario gets the response that it is Mario, who claims to be finished cleaning everything up to [[Flatbush]] Avenue. Hearing this, Mama Mario commands Mario to go clean the [[Brooklyn Bridge]] and proceeds to tell Luigi to go help Mario. After telling Luigi this, Mama Mario leaves Mario Brothers Plumbing through a nearby door.

With Mama Mario gone, Luigi ascends the staircase to the apartment door and opens it, letting Mario in. After Mario enters the apartment, he begins to tell Luigi that having their mother at the apartment is awful. Seemingly hearing Mario's complaining, Mama Mario demands he and Luigi to start working again.

After doing a large amount of work, Mario and Luigi finally say goodbye to Mama Mario, who had won the lottery and was forced to go. With Mama Mario gone, Mario and Luigi can finally go back to relaxing and begin to throw garbage and junk around their apartment.

Finishing making the apartment a mess, Mario and Luigi sit at a table and begin to relax, only to hear their doorbell ring. Believing the person at the door to be Mama Mario, Luigi instructs Mario to not answer the door; it seems Mama Mario had not really won the lottery, Luigi had simply faked the phone call telling her she did and now Luigi believed an angered Mama Mario was at the door.

Instructing Mario to answer the apartment door, Luigi leaves the room and goes to get a lottery ticket for who he believes to be Mama Mario. After Luigi leaves, Mario answers the door, only to find his [[Aunt Luigeena]] there, much to his horror.

*When [[Luigi]] is speaking with [[Mama Mario]], the gibberish when slowed down is actually his dialogue from earlier in the episode when both Mario Bros. were chatting.
