Only a single M Block appears in ''[[Mario & Luigi: Brothership]]'', where it is found next to a gate on [[Rumbla Island]]. Upon being activated by Mario, half of the gate's bars retract. Additionally, there are various M Buttons throughout [[Concordia]] that can only be activated with Mario's [[Hammer]].

M Blocks also appear in ''[[Yoshi's Island DS]]''. In this game, a [[Yoshi (species)|Yoshi]] must be carrying Baby Mario to see them and hit them. Also, some remain invisible even with Baby Mario; these blocks must be hit by a Yoshi with Baby Mario to appear. The stage [[Hit the M Blocks!]] is named after them.
