Variants

Lurchins are urchin-like enemies from Wario: Master of Disguise that first appear in the water section of Smithsnorian Museum and later in Ancient Waterworks. Wario encounters them in the episodes The Sphinx Sits on a Secret!, A Flower That's Drunk Up Power! and Special Episode Part 3. Thirteen of them in total appear in the entire game. They have no way of attacking Wario directly but only touching one of these will damage him. The only way for Wario to defeat a Lurchin is by using Captain Wario's torpedos, causing it to drop a few gems. Another similar enemy to the Lurchins, the RoboUrchin, resides in Sweatmore Peak.

In-game description[edit]

This emotionally fragile urchin hurts everyone he touches, no matter how hard he tries not to. He spends each night sobbing from nearly unbearable loneliness.

  • According to the German enemy description Lurchin writes a blog about its loneliness: "Dieser Seeigel verletzt alle, die ihm zu nahe kommen, egal, wie sehr er sich bemüht, es nicht zu tun. Er schreibt ein Blog über seine Einsamkeit und weint sich jede Nacht in den Schlaf," which translates into: "This sea urchin hurts anyone who gets too close, no matter how hard he tries not to. He writes a blog about his loneliness and cries himself to sleep every night."
