Luiginary Ball is the first Luiginary Attack obtained in Mario & Luigi: Dream Team, being the only mandatory Luiginary Attack in the entire game. It is unlocked after getting all the Attack Pieces in Dreamy Mushrise Park and costs 6 BP to use. The Luiginary Ball deals damage using the boots, and is considered a Jump attack. Enemies weak to a Jump (such as Spinies) will display Critical! and take extra damage when hit by the ball. It ignores spikes. Mario is dealing the damage with this move, not Dreamy Luigi.
Luiginary Ball is the first Dream World Luiginary Attack obtained in Mario & Luigi: Dream Team, being the only mandatory Luiginary Attack in the entire game. Upon use, Mario and Dreamy Luigi will run into the foreground, where Dreamy Luigi forms a ball with the other Luiginoids. with Mario jumping on the ball afterwards. They will then start rolling towards the group of enemies, and the player must tilt the 3DS to control the ball to it steer into more Luiginoids. The Luiginoids stand in clumps, and are generally positioned to create a singular path. That path can turn sharply at points. Collecting Luiginoids increases the ball's size, and the ball flashes green at three intervals as it reaches size thresholds. If the ball collides with the left and right boundaries at high speeds, it will bounce off.

Upon use, Mario and Dreamy Luigi will run into the foreground, where Dreamy Luigi forms a ball with the other Luiginoids, Mario jumping on the ball afterwards. They will then start rolling towards the group of enemies, and the player must tilt the 3DS to control the ball to try and make it steer into more Luiginoids to increase the ball's mass which increases the damage of the attack. Once the player reaches the enemies, Mario will automatically drop from the ball and stretch his foot back in front of it, giving the player a chance to press 3ds to make Mario give it a kick that will make it roll it into the enemies with even more force for extra damage. Regardless of whether Mario kicks it or not, the player must control the ball to make it line up properly as it makes the last stretch into the enemies.

When they get close enough the enemies, Mario drops behind the ball and pushes it forward. The player can press 3ds to make Mario kick the ball, launching it at a faster speed. If they get even closer, Mario will release the ball without kicking it. The player's tilting is still controlling the ball, and thus modifies the trajectory the ball takes through the enemies. The damage dealt depends on the number of Luiginoids grabbed and is increased substantially by the kick, but all enemies struck take an equal amount. Spikes are ignored. (If Mario does not kick the ball, then the Dark Boots do not trigger.)
Description
Tilt the Nintendo 3DS to move the ball. Grab Luiginoids to make the ball bigger! Line it up, and kick it with the A Button! A bigger ball means more damage!

Ratings depend on a number of factors. The minimum is an "OK" rating, which can be earned even for an unkicked, minimum size ball. A maximum sized ball without a kick only gets a "Good" rating.  An "Excellent" rating is earned when Mario kicks a full size ball. If the ball does not connect with any enemies, no rating is given.
Luiginoid Formation
Luiginoid Formation#Luiginary Ball
In Battle Broque Madame, Mario repeatedly performs Luginary Ball. Luiginary Ball loses Luiginoids whenever it isn't picking more up or in the final stretch of the attack when Mario kicks the ball. Small Broque Madames are on the route; hitting them grants 1 point, plus 1 point for each one struck during the current round. However, spikes and bombs litter the area. Touching spikes causes the ball to shrink. Additionally, the Luiginary Ball slows down briefly and the scoring chain for small Broque Madames also breaks. (The next one hit is only worth 1 point.) A collision with a bomb breaks the ball, immediately concluding the challenge. Running out of Luiginoids also causes failure.

Each round ends with a large Broque Madame. Sometimes they will be stationary, other times they move left and right. Hitting them with the kick grants a point bonus based on the size of the ball, maxing out at 20 points. Without the kick, the bonus maxes out at 10 points. Then the game starts again with a reset ball size, and with the scoring chain for small Broque Madames reset. At 999 points, the game only ends if the ball breaks or after passing the large Broque Madame.
