Luigi Circuit, under the name of Luigi Raceway first appears in Mario Kart 64. The misnaming is because all "Circuits" in the game has been replaced with "Raceways". It's the first race course of the Mushroom Cup in Mario Kart 64. As the name implies, it is named after the green plumber.
| | |||
This simple course starts and ends on a long straightaway and includes two long, left turns, between which a tunnel resides. Small shortcuts can be gained by cutting the grass and sand on the turns with Mushrooms or Stars. A larger shortcut can be done by jumping over the brick wall shortly after the tunnel with a mushroom, saving around seven seconds per lap.
[[ | A rigged Item Box can be found on a big blimp at the beginning of the second lap, when it dips to its lowest point, by hopping with the R button. A Blue Shell can be found inside.

Mario Kart: Super Circuits Luigi Circuit takes place in the rain and is filled with puddles. In the background hangars numbered 64 and 65 (00 in MKDS) imply that the race is located on a runway of some sort. During the laps a Luigi blimp will take off and fly around. This blimp is later seen in Sky Garden. The level features many shortcuts and is in the Lightning Cup. This track represented Super Ciruit in the Leaf Cup of Mario Kart DS.

Luigi Circuit is the first race track that appears in Mario Kart: Double Dash!! in the Mushroom Cup.

The track is a huge 8 with ramps on the sides. Because of this, racers can see other racers going up the track while they are going down. In any setting except for the 50cc one, the racers can even get into contact with each other. Additionally in the higher settings, there are several shortcuts around the track, with Item Boxes on them. To avoid cheating in the course, the drivers have to pass the booster on both ramps in order to complete the round.
Also, it seems that this course was inspired by the Luigi Circuit from Mario Kart 64.
The only threat on the course is the giant Chain Chomp. In the background, a rank "A" mansion from the end of Luigi's Mansion can be seen.
In the All-Cup Tour in Double Dash!!, it is always the first race.
===Mario Kart DS=== | |||

While there was no new Luigi Circuit in Mario Kart DS, a port of Mario Kart: Double Dash!!'s can be found in the Shell Cup and a port of Mario Kart: Super Circuit's Luigi Circuit can be found in the Leaf Cup.
In Mario Kart DS, however, both have been modified so that most of the shortcuts are gone. Mario Kart: Super Circuit's Luigi Circuit's background has been changed and the Luigi Blimp is now 3D.
===Mario Kart Wii=== | |||

Luigi Circuit is once again the starting track of the Mushroom Cup. The track features a giant statue of Luigi as well as the return of the Cheep-Cheep balloon. At the end of the course a giant crowd has gathered to watch the race from bleachers. The background is reminiscent of New Super Mario Bros.

*Nintendo 64's and GameCube's version of circuit looks very similar to AVUS.
