The solo player chooses which hole to hide in, then the team of three must choose where to strike. After all players choose, the solo player jumps out of their selected hole while the hammer positions itself over the holes before swinging to hit them. The solo player has three lives, and if they are hit by the hammer, they lose one life. If the solo player manages to survive all three rounds without being hit three times, they win. If the team of three manages to hit the solo player three times, the team wins, and the solo player falls into a hole.

This minigame does not have even chances for the solo player and team. If all picks are random, the team players only have roughly a 40% chance to win. The team players can improve their odds of winning to roughly 58% by picking the same hole to strike within each round, assuming the picks of the solo player are random.
