The '''Los Angeles Tour''' is the forty-eighth tour of ''[[Mario Kart Tour]]'', which began on July 14, 2021 and will end on July 27, 2021. It is the sixth tour to have the same title as [[Los Angeles Tour (2020)|a previous tour]] and the second city tour to do so after the [[Paris Tour (2021)|2021 Paris Tour]]. The tour introduces a new layout of the Los Angeles Laps course (which is the very first variation of a city course where the [[Finish Line (object)|starting line]] is in a different area than its first variant), named [[Los Angeles Laps 3]], while also introducing a new variant of [[Mario]] in his baseball [[Crazy Cap#Baseball Uniform|uniform]] and [[Crazy Cap#Batting Helmet|helmet]] from ''[[Super Mario Odyssey]]''.

This tour continues the Summertime Celebration event that started on the previous tour, the [[Summer Tour]], which like that tour, added new [[#Challenges|Multiplayer]] and [[List of challenge cards in Mario Kart Tour#Summertime Challenges|unique Challenges]].

This tour's [[Coin Rush (Mario Kart Tour)|Coin Rush]] course is [[N64 Kalimari Desert]], which was reused from the [[Wild West Tour]]. The menu's background features the baseball stadium and two palm trees from Los Angeles Laps 3 as the landmark for this tour.

This is the last tour to feature the fifth set of [[List of challenge cards in Mario Kart Tour#Expert Challenges|Expert Challenges]], which started in the [[Bowser vs. DK Tour]].

==Today's Challenge==
Players' karts, gliders and opponents are chosen or arranged at random. On day 1 of this tour, players have to finish a race in [[3DS Rosalina's Ice World]] in the [[Iggy Cup]] using [[Nabbit]] for a free pipe launch. Starting from day 2, players have to finish a race on the earliest uncleared course that is not in either of the ranked cups using the driver appearing on the course's thumbnail every day to obtain the reward listed in the table below.
