| The minigame begins with a cutscene that shows the four players running to the screen in a gym. Other characters can be seen working out in the gym. A purple [[Toad (species)|Toad]] jumps up blocks and then to a flagpole, followed by the Toad sliding down it, similar to how [[Mario]] and [[Luigi]] did in ''[[Super Mario Bros.]]'' A [[Spike]] is seen lifting dumbbells, sweating. Two [[Chargin' Chuck]]s are running on treadmills on the right side of the gym. The players then appear on the screen, and the minigame begins.
