The players have to use the [[Wii Remote]] to attempt to point at the [[Mushroom]] targets and shoot it within the time limit. The players must avoid shooting the Goomba target or the player will lose 10 points just for shooting the Goomba target down. There are two types of [[mushroom]]s; one is the [[Super Mushroom]] (a red [[mushroom]] that turns [[Mario]] into [[Super Mario]] when eaten.) which gives the player 10 points added to the total. The other [[mushroom]] is the [[1-Up Mushroom]] (a green [[mushroom]] from the Mario games like [[Super Mario World]] that gives [[Mario]] 1 [[extra life]] when eaten) that gives the player 30 points in total. If the player hits a Goomba panel, he or she will have 10 points deducted from his or her score. When the players only knock out the [[Mushroom]] targets, the targets attempt to change into another set of targets. The total of points can be seen at the top side of the middle target. The player who has the most points at the end of the minigame time limit wins. If both players have the same amount of points at the end of the minigame, it's a tie. | |||
