*Enemies that resemble Lava Blubbles appear in the ''[[Paper Mario (series)|Paper Mario]]'' series, specifically in ''[[Paper Mario]]'' and ''[[Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door]]'' (as well as its [[Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door (Nintendo Switch)|remake]] on the [[Nintendo Switch]]). These are cyan-colored Lava Bubbles called [[Ember]]s. It's possible that Embers were inspired by the Lava Blubble's design, given that both enemies are essentially Lava Bubbles that have been given a blue hue and differing stats from their parent species.
**Blue-colored Lava Bubbles also appear in ''[[Super Mario Galaxy]]'' and ''[[Super Mario 3D World]]''. These enemies could arguably be classified as either Lava Blubbles or Embers, or simply as ordinary Lava Bubbles that have just been recolored blue.
