A '''Lakitu R''' is a more powerful variation of the [[Lakitu]]. Lakitus R are found only in [[Dreamy Neo Bowser Castle]]. In the field, a Lakitu R can either swoop down at Mario or throw a [[Spiny Egg]] containing a [[Spiny R]]. In battle, Lakitus R appear alongside Spinies R. However, Lakitu R stay in the background, so Mario cannot attack them directly. Lakitu R attack by throwing [[Mushroom]]s and Spiny Eggs. If they hold a Mushroom/Spiny Egg in their left hand, they throw the object underhand, where it will slide/roll into Mario. If the object is held in the Lakitu's R right hand, it will be thrown overhand and land on Mario's head. Spiny Eggs may inflict [[DEF-Down]]. In either case, a Hammer attack knocks the Spiny Egg back at the Lakitu R, inflicting damage. After this attack, more Spiny R will join the battle.
