Krushas are blue-skinned, muscle-bound Kremlings that wear green camouflage. They first appeared in the original Donkey Kong Country. Krushas (like Klumps) are very strong, and can only be defeated by Donkey Kong. If Diddy Kong attempts to attack a Krusha, the little monkey will simply bounce of the muscular Kremling. Krusha will then laugh at the puny Diddy Kong. These Kremling soldiers attack by simply walking into Donkey or Diddy Kong.

Krushas are muscular, blue Kremlings and are among the elite soldiers of the Kremling Krew. They first appear in Donkey Kong Country. Krushas wear clothing with a camouflage pattern and a silver arm band on each forearm. They also have a spiky yellow mohawk on their heads, three clawed toes, and four fingers. They typically appear alongside Klumps, other militaristic Kremlings. Krushas are sometimes referred in the singular, as if they are an individual, as is the case for the Player's Guide for Donkey Kong Country, the television series, and Donkey Kong 64; a similar case happens with Klump with an individual character appearing in the television series based off of them. Other Kremlings similar to Krushas have appeared in the games, such as Krumples and Kasplats.
History
Donkey Kong Country series
Donkey Kong Country
Krushas are enemies in Donkey Kong Country. Like most other enemies, Krushas walk forward and injure Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong upon contact with them. The muscular build of a Krusha allows it to laugh off most of the Kongs' direct attacks. A Krusha can be defeated from Donkey Kong jumping on it, but not from Diddy. Other ways to defeat Krushas include the use of a barrel or from Rambi. Being hit by a Hand Slap from Donkey Kong can make the Krusha release a banana but not defeat it.

Besides the blue variety, there is a gray variety exclusively in Platform Perils that wears orange wristbands, a purple camouflage suit, and has orange head spikes. This type is stronger in that they can laugh off even Donkey Kong's jump attacks, leaving barrels as the only method of defeating them. Gray Krushas do not drop any bananas when Hand Slapped. In the first remake only, gray Krushas also appear in Necky Nutmare.
Donkey Kong Country also features rare gray-skinned Krushas that wear purple camouflage. These Krushas are even stronger than Donkey Kong (and will laugh at the big ape’s pathetic attacks). Gray Krushas can only be defeated by being hit with a barrel. This variety of Krusha is only found in the last normal stage of the game. They stand on collapsing platforms, blocking the way of Donkey and Diddy. Only a single barrel is provided to defeat each Krusha; if Donkey or Diddy miss their target, they will be unable to pass Krusha and will eventually fall into the pit below.

In the second remake, during the opening cutscene, Diddy fends off some Kritters while guarding the banana hoard, only to be subdued by a Krusha, taking the role of Klump in the original version. A photograph of a Krusha is also located beside an "O" in Platform Perils.
Krushas returned in Donkey Kong Land. However, Krushas do not have a stronger form like the previous game.

Krushas share their defeat voice clip with Rambi and King K. Rool in the original version. A higher pitched variation of the voice clip would later be used by various Kremlings in DKC2DKQ and DKC3DKDT, except for Krimps in the latter game, whom use the same voice clip from Donkey Kong Country.
In Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest and Donkey Kong Land 2 an enemy similar to Krushas, called Krunchas appear.

The pre-release version had blue Krushas being unfazed by Donkey Kong's jump attacks. In the final game, this trait only applied to the gray Krushas.
In Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble! and Donkey Kong Land III Krushas were once again replaced by a similar enemy called Krumples. Interestingly in Donkey Kong Land III, the enemy named Knocka, a Kremling that hides in a barrel, was mistakenly named “Krusha”.

Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest
Krusha is a hidden playable character in Donkey Kong 64. Although he is not available for play in the one-player adventure, Krusha can be used in multiplayer mode. In the game, Krusha has the same build and fighting style as Chunky Kong. The muscular Kremling also wields  a grenade launcher that fires Orange Grenades.

While not pointed out in the manual, Krunchas appear to be Krushas in pirate gear in Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest. This was later confirmed to be true by character designer Steve Mayles in a Twitter post. Despite being the same thing, Krunchas appear to be shorter and wider than Krushas, probably stemming from having a different base model.

Donkey Kong Country novel
A similar muscle-bound enemy named Kasplat also appears in Donkey Kong 64. Despite their similar appearance, Krusha and Kasplat are two distinct enemies. However, Prima’s Donkey Kong 64 Strategy Guide mistakenly identified Kasplat as Krusha.
An individual Krusha (referred to as "the strongest commander") is the last antagonist fought by Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong on the Gangplank Galleon in the Donkey Kong Country novel. Krusha protects himself  from both Kongs' attempted attacks before punching both of them, though is taken out when the Kongs launch themselves from ropes on the ship.

A Krusha was a character in the Donkey Kong Country TV series. Because of his strength, Krusha served as King K. Rool’s bodyguard. However, despite being incredibly strong, Krusha was not very bright, having the IQ of a young child. He also enjoyed the children’s television program The Sing Along with Uncle Swampy Show. During the first season, Krusha was voiced by Ron Rubin. In the second season, his voice was provided by Frank Welker.

A Krusha appears in the Donkey Kong Jungle Action Special comic "Diddy's Day". Part of a Kremling gang sent to get Donkey Kong, Krusha is summoned with the other Kremlings when the Rock Kroc surprises Diddy. The Krusha charges at Diddy but is taken out when a coconut is thrown by Donkey Kong at his head.

Donkey Kong Land
Krushas are one of the three types of Kremling enemies in Donkey Kong Land, the other two being Kritters and Klaptraps. Krushas behave identically to the standard blue type in Donkey Kong Country.

A Krusha is encountered by Donkey Kong on the eighth floor of the Kremling's factory within Big Ape City in Donkey Kong Country: Rumble in the Jungle. Krusha says that he will bring him straight to King K. Rool, the leader of the Kremlings. Krusha is described as "the biggest and strongest of all the Kremlings," although not the "brightest." Krusha is fooled by Donkey Kong into believing that the latter has the locations of every Kong on Donkey Kong Island. Distracted, Krusha reaches into Donkey Kong's backpack, but Donkey Kong throws a barrel at Krusha instead, causing the latter to fall over. Krusha is defeated from both a barrel roll and a double jump before Donkey Kong continues his journey.

In the Donkey Kong Country animated series, Krusha (voiced by Len Carlson) is one of the main characters and antagonists on the Donkey Kong Country television series. On the show Krusha is King K. Rool's bodyguard and a high-ranking member. Krusha is shown to be unintelligent, having a hard time grasping simple concepts and becoming distracted. His intelligence is due to his dislodged brain, as seen in "From Zero to Hero", due to the fact that it fell out his skull and has been sitting inside his pelvis ever since. He likes watching "Sing Along With Uncle Swampy Show", a show meant for young children. Krusha appears regularly with K. Rool's second-in-command, General Klump, and tend to work together. Krusha occasionally causes trouble for K. Rool and his crew due to his intelligence. Krusha is shown as much more intelligent in the episodes "Bad Hair Day" and "It's a Wonderful Life", the former of which is the pilot episode for the series, and the latter of which is set in Donkey Kong's dream where he imagines he never existed in Kongo Bongo. Krusha also has the ability to replicate voices of others, such as K. Rool and Donkey Kong, as shown in the episode "Kong for a Day".

In the episode "Speed", Krusha is run over with a Mine Cart, causing him to gain above average intelligence. Krusha comes up with a plan to destroy Kongo Bongo and then claim the Crystal Coconut for himself, managing to force K. Rool into submission. Despite K. Rool giving in to Krusha and letting him lead, Krusha considers him disposable, only intending to save him upon Klump's request. However, by the end of the episode, Krusha gets run over again, acting like how he was in previous episodes.

In the episode "Klump's Lumps", General Klump is fired, after which Krusha is promoted to General Krusha.

A Krusha can be unlocked for play in multiplayer battles only by collecting fifteen Banana Fairies in the main mode. Krusha has a unique fast sliding attack and an orange grenade launcher as his own weapon. Krusha appears blue by default, but he also has three palette swaps of yellow, green, and purple. Krusha uses higher pitched voice clips of King K. Rool's. Kasplat is mistakenly called Krusha in the Prima guide to Donkey Kong 64.page needed

By glitching or hacking the game, it is possible to play as Krusha in the main adventure. The text string of Krusha's name is still used by the characters, but with no different dialogue than when talking to the Kongs. Krusha also has some unused animations, some of which are taken from Chunky's.
