As with other X Bosses, Kretin X has the same attacks as the original Kretin, only faster and stronger. The battle starts with several Kretins formed together, colored red and green. Red Kretins can only be attacked by Mario and green by Luigi. Once the player defeats each Kretin, the creature falls apart and 5 of the 6 Kretins are defeated, leaving the lead one alone. The lead Kretin will create other Kretins to aid it and will shuffle around with them to confuse the player. In this form the Kretins will fire lasers at the plumbers.
