Klampons attack by repeatedly chomping their jaws while moving back and forth. [[Diddy Kong|Diddy]] and [[Dixie Kong|Dixie]] cannot roll into a Klampon from the side because this injures them, but a Klampon can be defeated from a [[jump]] attack, having a [[barrel]] or [[crate]] thrown at it, from an [[Animal Friend]], or from being rolled into from above. Klampons have a functional opposite, [[Spiny (Donkey Kong Country 2)|Spinies]], which are protected from jumping attacks but are vulnerable to frontal attacks, and the enemies are encountered together in [[Castle Crush]].
