'''King Nimbus''' is a [[Nimbus]] and the father of [[Mallow|Prince Mallow]]. He is also the husband of [[Queen Nimbus]] and rules the peaceful [[Nimbus Land]] with his wife.

During the events of ''[[Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars]]'' and its [[Super Mario RPG (Nintendo Switch)|remake]], King and Queen Nimbus were removed from power through a coup by [[Valentina]] and her assistant [[Dodo]]. The royal couple were locked inside one of the rooms of the palace as Valentina consolidated her power. Valentina claimed the king and queen were ill, and tricked the populace of Nimbus Land into believing that Dodo was the long-lost [[Mallow|Prince Mallow]] (even though Dodo is a large bird). "Prince Mallow" then proposed to Valentina, which, in effect, would make her the queen of Nimbus Land. However, Valentina's plans were ruined by the timely arrival of [[Mario]] and the real Prince Mallow.

After Valentina left, King and Queen Nimbus were freed. They congratulated Mario and his companions and directed the heroes to [[Barrel Volcano]], the site of the next [[Star Piece (Super Mario RPG)|Star Piece]]. In addition, the real Mallow was welcomed back into the royal family.

King Nimbus, despite being the head of a powerful royal family, cannot help but ask his famous rescuers (Mario, [[Bowser]] and [[Princess Peach]]) for their autographs. Additionally, even though [[Geno]] constantly talks about [[Star Road (Super Mario RPG)|Star Road]], King Nimbus can never get the name of the celestial skyway right, calling it the "Star Street" or "Starway". This is expanded upon in the Nintendo Switch remake, in which his and Queen Nimbus's [[Wish Star]] of "May Mallow fix the Road!" from the original is changed to "May Mallow fix the Starway!"
