Karate Kong is the ruler of the [[Pineapple Kingdom]], and [[Donkey Kong]] fights him on a log drifting across the river as a raft. Despite his old age, Karate Kong is still a skilled fighter, and is capable of performing powerful flying kicks and karate chops. Donkey Kong eventually manages to defeat Karate Kong. Karate Kong and the other Kong bosses later appear at the end of game ceremony, in celebration of Donkey Kong's victory over the [[Ghastly King]].
