| '''Kalmar''' is one of the seven [[Star Spirits]] in ''[[Paper Mario]]''. He is the star spirit designated to the [[Crystal King]] to guard in his very own [[Crystal Palace]], found in [[Paper Mario#Chapter 7: A Star Spirit on Ice|Chapter 7: A Star Spirit on Ice]]. His name is a play on "calm," having such a personal and hating fighting and arguments. Furthermore, his name is also shared with the Swedish city {{wp|Kalmar}}, a fact possibly taken into consideration in the game's development as he is encountered in a cold, snowy area. When Kalmar is freed, he rewards [[Mario]] the [[Up & Away]] move. He later appears along with the rest of the Star Spirits in [[Star Haven]] when they give Mario the [[Star Beam]].
