Bowser Jr. and the Junior Clown Car both appear as the final boss of the Battle Ring in Mario & Luigi: Dream Team. While it is not his vehicle's debut, it is officially named the Junior Clown Car for the first time. The Junior Clown Car flies in the air and actively blocks attacks that hit from the side like Slingsniper and Bomb Derby. Bowser Jr. can jump out of the car for certain attacks, sometimes leaving the car idle during Mario and Luigi's turns. During this, the Junior Clown Car can be targeted separately from Bowser Jr.

When Mario or Luigi use the Jump attack on the Junior Clown Car while Bowser Jr. is outside the Clown Car, they instead land inside and invite the other brother to join them. They taunt Bowser Jr, then chase him with his own Clown Car. During the chase, the Bros. rustle through the Clown Car to find items to throw at Bowser Jr. The items include Green Shells, hammers, cannonballs, Spiny Eggs, Wrenches, and Mechakoopas. The car can be steered with tilt controls. Once this sequence concludes, Mario and Luigi hop out, leaving the malfunctioning Junior Clown Car to collide with Bowser Jr. Afterward, the car lands in the background, and Monty Moles perform repairs. Once complete, Bowser Jr. jumps back in.

The Prima guide erroneously refers to the Clown Car Bowser, Private Goomp and Sergeant Guy ride on in the ending as the Junior Clown Car.
